Grouped Up helps groups plan trips over text, starting with Las Vegas. Right now it's a small pilot run by hand by a real person, not an app or an automated booking system. By paying the planning fee or using the service, you agree to these terms.

Who we are

What the $15 fee covers

The planning fee is $15 per person, collected up front through Stripe. It pays for planning and coordination for your trip:

  • Collecting dates, budgets and preferences from each person, privately
  • Recommending hotels or licensed rentals, one group dinner and optional extras
  • Running votes and tracking who's in, in your group chat
  • Sending each person their booking links and reminders

The fee does not include lodging, dinner, shows, clubs, tours, transportation or anything else you book. You pay those costs yourself, directly to the vendor. We never collect or hold money for your trip.

Refunds

The planning fee is non-refundable once planning starts, including if your trip is cancelled, plans change or you decide not to go.

If we cancel, or can't take on your trip before planning starts, we'll refund your fee. [CONFIRM: keep this refund promise?]

Vendors handle their own bookings

We recommend, we don't book on your behalf. When you book through a link we send, you're booking directly with that hotel, rental, restaurant, venue or tour company under its own prices and policies. That vendor handles your booking, payment, changes, cancellations, deposits and refunds, and any issue with a booking is between you and the vendor.

Prices and availability are set by vendors and can change before you book. We only recommend hotels and licensed rentals.

Affiliate links

Some links we send are affiliate links. If you book through one, we may earn a commission from the vendor. It doesn't change the price you pay, and it doesn't decide what we recommend.

Nightlife and age

Nightclubs, many pool and day clubs, and some other venues are 21+ and require valid ID. Nightlife is always optional. Each person is responsible for meeting a venue's age, ID and dress requirements, and for following its rules.

Your group

Each person is responsible for their own bookings and payments. If someone drops out, we'll help the group rebalance rooms, but we're not responsible for money one person owes another.

Our responsibility

We give recommendations in good faith, but we don't control vendors and can't guarantee any hotel, venue or experience. To the extent the law allows, Grouped Up isn't liable for anything arising from a vendor booking or from your trip, and our total liability to you is limited to the planning fees you paid us.

Changes and governing law
